Piper's Big Girl Bedroom Reveal!
Piper will be 4 years old soon and we FINALLY decided it was time for a big girl bed! Yes, she has been in a crib all this time, haha! We didn’t feel a need to rush her out of her crib- she was content in there and it worked for us. But it was time!
I actually got this bed from my parents- I don’t know where they got it from, it was just stored away. It wasn’t quite what I wanted, but I was pretty confident that with some adjustments we could make it exactly what I was hoping for!
The headboard wasn’t as tall as I wanted and I didn’t like the small board at the foot of the bed, plus the side rails were just the small metal standard frame. So we (and by we I mean Steven) took it apart and rebuilt it! He cut a new bigger board for the headboard and extended the posts to be the height I wanted. He added wood side rails and installed a bigger board at the footboard. Painted it white and it was perfect!
I have been collecting little things here and there for her room- a few new decor pieces and all the bedding- for a while so I was really excited to put it all together! And of course Piper was pretty excited too! She helped pick out some of her bedding and loved everything that was going to go into her new big girl room! So here is the finished space!
